Experience
When a student looks to their tutor, they should see a model learner - someone who applies strategies, studies hard, and succeeds. As an Honors College graduate of the University at Buffalo and a medical school applicant, I believe I can be that model. While maintaining a high GPA, tutoring, and spearheading social justice efforts, I managed to successfully navigate challenges and work towards my long-term goal.As I worked on my bachelor's degree in Biological Science and Anthropology, I tutored a group of ten to fifteen university students from the athletics department. We met twice weekly to go over Biology, Anatomy, Physiology, and Psychology. I can also tutor Biochemistry, Anthropology, IB Biology SL and HL, and preparation for the MCAT. I also created two non-profit organizations at the University at Buffalo. One dealt with public health in economically depressed nations and the other with creating rural schools in developing countries. Currently, I work as a lifeguard, swim instructor, and tutor. I look forward to working with new students and showing them that there are many ways to manage their studies successfully! In my free time, I enjoy traveling and swimming.
